Sales Manager Training Programs That Build Real Coaching Skills
Amplify your
Sales Management Team
Most managers were promoted because they sold well, not because they knew how to develop a team. revenueify's Coaching to Maximize Performance program gives your managers the behavioral science, the coaching framework, and the execution system to build a team that performs without you in every conversation.
Most Sales Managers Were Trained to Sell, Not to Lead
No Coaching Framework
Your manager holds 1:1s but nothing changes. There is no structure, no observation cadence, and no way to connect coaching to field behavior.
Managing Everyone the Same Way
Your rookie and your veteran are getting the same direction. One is overwhelmed; the other is checked out. Neither is being managed correctly.
No Accountability System
Managers track quota attainment but ignore lead metrics. By the time the number is missed, it is too late to change the behaviors that caused it.
Training That Fades
You invested in rep training. Six weeks later the methodology is gone because the manager never internalized it and cannot reinforce it in the field.
How Sales Manager Training Actually Works at revenueify
Three phases. Every component delivered in sequence. Nothing skipped.
Phase 1: Train the Manager
Before any rep touches Customer Focused Selling®, your manager goes through the Coaching to Maximize Performance program. They learn the CFS® frameworks as a practitioner, not an observer. They practice the tools, build confidence as a coach, and understand what to look for in the field before the team training begins.
Phase 2: Train the Team with the Manager as Reinforcement Partner
When the CFS® rep program launches, your manager runs alongside it. They observe sessions, participate in exercises, and begin applying the Five Keys to Coaching Success immediately. A rep who struggles with a concept in the workshop has a manager who understands it well enough to coach it in the field the same week.
Phase 3: Coach the Manager on Sustained Execution
After the team program ends, the monthly A.I.M. coaching cadence begins. The manager's 1:1s with reps become data-driven, pulling from lead metrics, execution scores, and trend lines. revenueify coaches the manager on how to run effective Weekly Accountability Meetings and sustain the CFS® methodology without us in the room.
One Management Style Does Not Fit a Whole Team
The Four Development Levels framework equips your manager to adapt their approach to each rep’s specific readiness level. Mismatching level and style is the most common cause of manager-rep friction.
Dependent (Rookie or Low Performer)
High enthusiasm, low competence. Needs clear direction, defined activities, and frequent monitoring. Left alone, enthusiasm turns to confusion and early exits. Leadership Style: Direct + Coach
Intermediate (Experienced, Erratic)
Moderate competence, variable commitment. Has skills but produces inconsistent results. Needs structure, specific direction, and obstacles removed from their path. Leadership Style: Direct + Support + Remove Interference
Independent (Veteran Good Performer)
High competence, variable commitment. A solid performer who does not always prioritize correctly. Needs support and input, not direction. Over-managing this rep is how good performers leave. Leadership Style: Support + Remove Interference
Self-Reliant (Consistent Top Performer)
High competence, high commitment. Your best performer needs autonomy, not oversight. The manager's job is to empower and remove obstacles. Micromanaging this rep damages trust and results. Leadership Style: Delegate + Empower
The Five Keys to Coaching Success
Observe and Analyze Performance
Identify the activities that matter most, then actively observe: client interactions, planning quality, attitude, and administrative execution. Coaching without observation is guessing.
Suggest Areas of Improvement
Ask for the rep's opinion first. Give a sincere, specific compliment. Limit recommendations to one or two per session. Connect the behavior change to the business outcome. Use Socratic questioning to have them surface the answer themselves.
Model the Desired Method
Show, do not just tell. Demonstrate the Customer Focused Selling® behavior specifically in a 1:1 or team meeting. Role play the scenario. Debrief what was different. This is how CFS® adoption survives beyond the training event.
Have Them Try the Desired Method
Practice before the field. Have the rep try the method in a safe environment: private 1:1, small group, or structured role play. Observe, ask their opinion, give specific feedback, gain commitment to continue.
Continue Coaching
Repeat until mastery. Catch the rep doing something right. Recommend enhancements. Encourage practice between sessions. Coaching stops the day a manager decides the work is done, and performance follows shortly after.
Coaching By the Numbers
| What To Do | When To Do It | How To Do It |
|---|---|---|
| Observe and Analyze Performance | At least once per month; more often based on development level | Travel with them, watch client interactions, review planning documents |
| Suggest Areas of Improvement | Immediately after observation | Ask what went well and what did not; give a compliment; limit to 1–2 recommendations per session |
| Model the Desired Method | Same session as the suggestion or within that week | Role play, team meeting demonstration, or 1:1 walkthrough of the CFS® method |
| Have Them Practice | Same session or within the week before their next field interaction | Practice in 1:1, small group, or role play; debrief immediately after |
| Continue Coaching | Every 1:1 and field observation, indefinitely | Compliment positive performance, recommend enhancements, encourage practice between sessions |
Two Ways to Engage — One System Either Way
The program is structured for your timeline and your manager’s starting point.
2-3 Day Intensive
All four Coaching to Maximize Performance modules delivered as a consecutive workshop, followed by monthly A.I.M. coaching to sustain execution through the first full 12-week cycle.
Best for managers who need rapid capability development or are stepping into a new role with a team already in place.
Phased 6-Month Program
One module per month with structured 1:1 coaching reinforcement between sessions. Each module builds on the previous. By month six, your manager has a fully functioning operating system in place.
Best for organizations embedding skills gradually or for managers who carry a full quota while developing their leadership capabilities.

Why Sales Manager Training at revenueify Is Different
Four things separate revenueify from every other sales leadership training firm. Each one is the result of being a RevOps firm — not just a training company.
01) All RevOps -- One Integrated System
revenueify is the only firm that integrates sales leadership training with outsourced sales management and recruiting as one connected system. When training alone does not close the gap, the other two services are already in place to complete it. You never have to start over with a new vendor.
02) Industry-Specific, Never Generic
Because revenueify delivers outsourced sales management across multiple industries simultaneously, the management training reflects real cross-industry intelligence -- not classroom theory. A program for a manufacturing VP looks different from one built for a SaaS leader. Your team sounds like your team.
03) Behavioral Science as the Foundation
Everything DiSC® Management and the Wiley Catalyst™ platform are embedded throughout every management program. Managers understand their own style, then learn to adapt it -- directing, delegating, motivating, and developing each individual based on data, not instinct.
04) Data-Driven from Day One
Every engagement begins with an A.I.M. Assessment -- not assumptions. The assessment reveals where the leadership gap is before any content is delivered. Monthly execution sessions update trend lines and coaching data throughout the program. Every decision is backed by evidence.
Outcome-Based Selling
Build trust, deliver value, and create repeat business.
Behavioral Science Tools
DiSC® and PXT assessments are embedded in every program.
Data-Driven ROI
Every engagement starts with metrics and ends with proof.
Industry Customization
We tailor everything to your vertical, no templates, no fluff.
